The Distance 9’ #5 is a lovely stream rod that just oozes tight loops and great short casting ability. Despite its distance tag, this rod is a creek fishers dream, laying out wonderful casts with as little as nine foot of fly line out. Any closer and you could spear the trout! It has the strength to pick up 25 feet of line out of a tumbling stream, and the delicacy to present a small dry fly to a gentle sipper. The Distance 9’ #6/7 is a magnificent all rounder, as well as being a great first fly rod. It is a great stream rod when fitted with a #6 line.
